Odrębność funkcjonalna – wyróżniana jako rodzaj miejscowości u Bystrzyckiego, a na mapach topograficznych odrębnym znakiem, niekiedy z nazwą własną. Odrębność morfologiczna/przestrzenna – przeważnie jest obiektem na obszarze miejscowości lub w niewielkim od niej oddaleniu. Jeżeli posiada nazwę własną może być traktowana jako osobna miejscowość (konieczna interpretacja map; patrz: Rozewie). W przeciwnym razie jest albo częścią innej, większej miejscowości lub obiektem terenowym (budowlą) w niej (patrz: Hel, Jastarnia). (Polish)
