In each analysed case, a rectory being a separate settlement, lays in a vicinity of a village, or a town/city with the same name. In cartographical sources, one can find it presented separately, with its proper name, an abbreviation of a category (i.e. pol “pleb.”, which is “rect.”), and distinguished by its morphology. A rectory differs slightly from the house of a provost, but we leave this difference aside. (English)

(Polish)
